Topic: Green Deal for pesticide use in agriculture

The job
Our society must reorganise agriculture to make it more environmentally friendly. The EU is trying to achieve this with the “Green Deal”. Together with other institutes, we are working on possible implementations of this strategy. In doing so, we want to identify possible solutions in the current cultivation system that enable a reduction in the use of pesticides and a reduction in the burden on the environment. As a basis for an agro-ecological transformation in Germany, we are quantifying the ecological impact of pesticides in watercourses and identifying practical approaches to indicators of environmental damage and improvement. Your work will provide the basis for identifying indicators for environmental improvements.
You will also work with a postdoc to develop solutions.
